Flood Modeling and Mapping
The flood modeler is concerned with deriving flood area, depth, and risk maps from high resolution DEMs and projected intrusion of water.
It allows GeoNet to:
- Specify selected site, DEM, and flood modeling parameters
- Access the water modeler to determine predicted water levels or probabilities
- Access or import vector coverages for overlaying in DEMs
- Display DEMs and overlaid vectors
- Work with DEMs to modify flow connectivity
- Save DEM connectivity edits, and other modeling parameters as named scenarios
- Generate flood area, depth, or risk polygons
- Generate vector flood coverages and maps
