The site assessment presents various scenarios for the area under study and evaluates the impacts, primarily socio-economic, if those scenarios should come to pass. The reasoning and decision making associated with identifying and selecting such strategies is done in association with the clients.

- identifying plausible recommendations
- selecting applicable recommendations
- justifying recommendations
- preparing adaptation reports
